Leica Microsystems will present the inverted microscope Leica DMi8 for industry and the new digital microscope Leica DVM6 for failure analysis and quality assurance at this year’s Control in Stuttgart, Germany, booth #1712, May 5 to 8. Both instruments enable users to work fast and efficiently.

The inverted microscope Leica DMi8 for industry can be tailored to the users’ application needs and preferences. “We can offer personalized solutions that fit the customers’ needs at any time”, explains Nicol Ecke, Application Manager at Leica Microsystems. With the Leica DMi8 for industry, users can speed up their workflow. Kay Scheffler, Product Manager at Leica Microsystems gives an example: “Leica Microsystems’ exclusive macro objective for the Leica DMi8 offers a field of view of 35 mm. This is four times more than a standard objective and allows users to image a sample overview as well as a close-up without changing the microscope or the workstation.” Equipped with illumination control, the Leica DMi8 regulates light intensity and contrast modes automatically. “There is no need for the user to focus on fine adjustments. They can simply stay focused on their sample and their actual tasks”, Scheffler emphasizes. A special feature: Leica Microsystems exclusively offers Ultra Contrast 3D Illumination. This gives users the opportunity to illuminate samples from different angles, gain additional information on the surface structure, and enhanced contrast.

The Leica DVM6 is the most recent digital microscope for industrial applications. “The Leica DVM6 is flexible and easy to operate, so that both experienced and unexperienced users can work with it without long training periods. As a result, we can meet our customers’ expectations adequately“, explains Georg Schlaffer, Product Manager at Leica Microsystems. “Apochromatically corrected objectives and the integrated LED illumination ensure an optimally illuminated sample and a crisp high resolution image.”
